Day 1, 4 hours : Using Your Camera for Landscape Photography

• Sunrise or sunset session

• Learn to create compelling landscapes through:

  • Smart location choices

  • Understanding light, tides, seasons, and weather

  • Working a location creatively

  • Introduction to filters and mobile apps

  • Optional photo hike

Takeaway: Confidence to use professional post processing software to optimise your images, and to print successfully using Canon PRO-1000 printer

Equipment: DSLR or Mirrorless camera, tripod, filters.

Dress for the weather. Bring water and snacks.

Locations: Barmouth Harbour, Beach, Bridge, Mawddach Estuary, Cregennan Lakes, Harlech Beach, Fairbourne.

Note: Final location depends on weather and your preferences.

Day 2, 4 hours : From Memory Card to Print

Studio based at Verdun House Gallery, Barmouth

• Introduction to Adobe Lightroom, with some Photoshop

• Learn about paper choices, colour management, and editing

• Print your own A3 mounted giclée print using a Canon ProGraf 1000

Equipment: None required. Ideally bring your own laptop, but if you don’t have one it’s not critical.
